OK, so Sharon had the meeting with Nico last night as we all know. Now let me tell you what i think.

Firstly I think that I'm not sure what to think! Nico first leaks information to the 8TSOC about the impending catastrophe of April 30th but then expects them to do nothing about such dire news? Was he hoping that they would think hes crazy and ignore him or be as so many of the sheep like citizens and graze along their way hoping for someone else to save them? How can Nico say that they Owe him anything? If Nico wants to be a real hero he wouldn't use such language in his dealings. Real heroes accept the consequences of their actions, don't expect payment from the people they are saving and do this because they truly want the betterment of all. Don't they? So if Nico wasn't being a hero and warning us what is his true motivation? If his requests are reasonable I'm sure aiding him wont hurt and keeping him close will reveal more about his nature. Unless you get a knock at your door and a pair of cuff on your wrists for aiding and abedding a criminal? Which brings me to my next point...

Secondly and one thing that is certain is that all of us making this more public should be careful. If they can ruin Nico's life over this whats to stop them from coming after us next? Are we the few of us making noise going have an attempt by "them" to be gagged too like Nico? No one really knows who is behind this and how far their reach may be or how sinister their motives.

The Begining

Well its almost time. Forwhat you ask? Well I’m not sure either but rumor has it something big is going down on April 30th. I have it from a good source it might have something to do with the worlds fossil fuel reserves. They’re running out you don’t you know? People have been warning us about this for a long time now. I’m sure you’ve overheard someone talking about this. As a matter of fact I bet its harder to not have heard about it!

The first thing that comes to mind is what a disaster it would be to run out of oil. But I’m not so sure that it would be. It might be inconvenient and quite a culture shock at first though. Some people could be put in very bad positions if we don’t work together in this situation. They could starve for lack of food because there will be no deliveries to the markets, there might be no utilities and no running water just to touch the tip of the iceberg. But I’m sure that if we work together as a local community and think globally about what we do and how we effect and interact with others around the world that we can overcome and overcome make the world a better place.

Sure oil has done a lot for us! We’ve been using it to power almost e very aspect of our lives for over a century and we’re becoming more dependant on it every day. But its time to say goodbye!

So I’ve started this blog to keep in touch with you (my global community) in the upcoming days as we watch what unfolds and discuss the events and ideas that you and I may have about the brave new world.

Current mood: contemplative
